January 16/10 by CB
On Friday afternoon, January 22/10, the first ever soccer show will premiere at the direct Energy Center, Hall 'C'.
There is a first time for everything which is why USC decided to participate in this event. The main reason is to become a bit more visible in the Toronto soccer scene, but also to show our aliance with some of the best soccer academies and coaches in Canada.
"We feel it is important that parents and players know there are various ways to approach soccer."
"There is a pure fun element to the sport, a strictly competitive element, and underlying it all is the educational aspect, which some people choose to neglect or ignore." Klaus Baedorf , technical director of the USC Academy, explains.
"Mainly we are here (at the show) to talk to players and parents in person and hopefully answer many questions, perhaps attract a few prospects to the club or academy."
In addition, both the USC Academy and United SC will give discounts to people who register to their programs during the duration of the show. Registrants will also be entered in a draw, with prizes up to $230 in value.
